Delivery of Quality Sod Built for High-Elevation Landscapes
Summit County’s mountain estates, ranches, and luxury properties demand more than standard sod. From manicured lawns in Park City to reclamation projects on newly built mountain lots in Promontory, BioGrass supplies durable, climate-adapted grass blends built for high elevation, variable sun exposure, and the natural, low-maintenance aesthetic Summit County homeowners want.
Choosing the Right Grass for Your Property Type
Native & Meadow Grasses for Mountain Homes
Building or renovating in Promontory or other mountainside developments disturbs the native landscape — and once construction wraps, that soil needs to be replanted, often with a native or meadow-style grass surrounding the manicured yard. Our BioMeadow® fine fescue blend is a popular choice for exactly this: it transitions seamlessly from a manicured lawn into a natural, low-mow meadow across the rest of your property, making it ideal for large mountain lots and reclamation work.
For homeowners who want an even lower-maintenance, drought-tolerant option, BioNative® is a sustainable native sod blend made from grass species native to Utah’s west desert. It thrives in both sun and shade with minimal water or upkeep — a strong fit for Summit County’s high elevation, variable climate, and large acreage properties.
Premium Bluegrass Blend for Ranches & Large Properties
If you’re managing a ranch or large-acreage property in Summit County, BioBlue® delivers a premium bluegrass blend with superior color, texture, and resilience built to handle heavier use — perfect for ranches, pastures, large properties, and high-traffic outdoor areas.
No-Mow/Low-Mow Grasses for Utah’s Dry Climate
BioGrass sod and seed blends are carefully selected to match the high-quality standard of Summit County homeowners. Our grass varieties are especially suited to high-elevation soil, intense mountain sun, and Utah’s dry climate. And many of our sod and seed blends are either no-mow or low-mow, allowing residents to keep large properties covered, absorbing water, and looking great – without significantly higher upkeep.

How do I order sod?
How do I Install sod?
When you install new sod, you’ll want to make sure you’ve done the proper yard preparation and take the necessary steps to keep it healthy during installation. Check out our New Lawn Guide for some help.
Once I have it installed how much should I water?
As you install your new lawn, lightly sprinkle water on the bare soil to cool it and create a better environment for tender roots. Use a hose to water each piece of sod within 15 minutes of laying it down. Once installation is complete, give your lawn one inch of water within 30 minutes, ensuring it is “squishy wet”—the only time it should reach this level of saturation. For the first few weeks, keep the sod consistently moist, especially during the hottest part of the day, to support healthy root establishment.
What sizes is the sod cut into?
We cut our rolls in two feet by five feet increments. Each roll will cover ten square feet. Each individual pallet will cover 600 square feet.
