Mow your new lawn 7-10 days after installation. This is very important for new lawn establishment.
Do not cut more than 1/3 of the leaf blade in a single mowing. Cutting more than 1/3 of the leaf will put the lawn under stress. Stress may cause disease and will thin out your lawn over time. Lawns that are overgrown won't allow proper sunlight to penetrate, maintain a regular mowing schedule.
Keep mowing blades sharp as dull blades will tear grass leaves, and cause grass to brown.
Conserve water by maintaining a mowing height of 2-3 inches. Tip: Adjust your mowing height on the pavement, measuring the height from blade to pavement.
Keep in mind that extra mowing may be necessary if you choose to use nitrogen-excessive fertilizers that cause grass to grow more quickly.
